CCXP Cologne I EXHIBITION BOOTHS

THE CHALLENGE

In June 2019, the first Comic Con Experience (CCXP) opened its doors in Cologne. 

Warner Bros., asked us to create three booths within a 750 sq.m. space, which offered fans unique experiences of the different Warner Bros. movie worlds, and also celebrated Batman‘s 80th birthday.

THE IDEA

We wanted  to create interactive and Instagrammable moments for fans. We took the core elements of the movies Annabelle 3, IT Chapter 2, and the entire Batman universe, and transformed them into fan experiences. We wanted them dive into a sea of red balloons from IT Chapter 2,  feel the scary moments of Annabelle 3 in an Escape Van, and set up the first ever Batman car exhibition at a Comic Con — all related to upcoming Warner movies. 

THE IMPLEMENTATION

All three booths were the highlights of CCXP Cologne. Each of the 40,000 visitors came to the booths, causing long lines at each entry point. The IT balloons photobombed most other places at the event, as well as across the whole city. Pictures of the booths were a feature of all press coverage of the event. Convention-goers stopped to listen when three Batmobiles from different film series drove out of the booth for a loud and impressive finale.
